This is a unique opportunity to work directly with Dr. Amy Moore, who is seeking a talented administrative professional to be her strategic partner and thought leader in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
The Administrative Manager:
Oversees and coordinates daily operations of office in support of research, education and clinical missions.
Coordinates and oversees appointment calendars including scheduling meetings with medical center leadership and area business leaders and serves as liaison with other leadership offices.
Prioritizes continually changing demands and schedules on their behalf.
Coordinates and oversees faculty recruitment.
Collaborates in the development and implementation of administrative, operational and clinical policies and procedures.
Acts on behalf of Chair in their absence.
Serves as liaison to Department Chair and administrator; independently responds to routine correspondence and electronic communications and conveys directives and information.
Prepares highly sensitive and confidential correspondence and communication; prepares meeting materials to be presented to medical center leadership, business leaders throughout Columbus and at national and international meetings.
Supports department involvement in multi-institutional study with academic institutions and travels out of state to represent Chair.
Coordinates special events, projects, and meetings.
Researches, interprets, and communicates departmental, college and university policies and procedures to aid in decision making and strategic planning.
Assists faculty in preparing grant applications and writing manuscripts and publications.
Arranges and schedules travel, lodging and other associated reservations.
Prepares and tracks reimbursement of travel expenses.
Bachelor's Degree plus two years experience or an equivalent of six years experience in healthcare is required; Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
