This is a unique opportunity to work directly with Dr. Amy Moore, who is seeking a talented administrative professional to be her strategic partner and thought leader in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

The Administrative Manager:

  • Oversees and coordinates daily operations of office in support of research, education and clinical missions.

  • Coordinates and oversees appointment calendars including scheduling meetings with medical center leadership and area business leaders and serves as liaison with other leadership offices.

  • Prioritizes continually changing demands and schedules on their behalf.

  • Coordinates and oversees faculty recruitment.

  • Collaborates in the development and implementation of administrative, operational and clinical policies and procedures.

  • Acts on behalf of Chair in their absence.

  • Serves as liaison to Department Chair and administrator; independently responds to routine correspondence and electronic communications and conveys directives and information.

  • Prepares highly sensitive and confidential correspondence and communication; prepares meeting materials to be presented to medical center leadership, business leaders throughout Columbus and at national and international meetings.

  • Supports department involvement in multi-institutional study with academic institutions and travels out of state to represent Chair.

  • Coordinates special events, projects, and meetings.

  • Researches, interprets, and communicates departmental, college and university policies and procedures to aid in decision making and strategic planning.

  • Assists faculty in preparing grant applications and writing manuscripts and publications.

  • Arranges and schedules travel, lodging and other associated reservations.

  • Prepares and tracks reimbursement of travel expenses.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree plus two years experience or an equivalent of six years experience in healthcare is required; Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
