Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Dean of GPH, the Administrative Manager will administer a broad range of activities within the Office of the Dean; monitor school-wide progress on strategic goals; manage numerous projects; and ensure effective execution of various strategic endeavors through close collaboration with the Dean and Chief of Staff. The incumbent will research, compile and analyze data, statistics and other information; they will also serve as a liaison with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Core, and other leaders to ensure alignment with other University divisions.

In addition, the incumbent will staff and coordinate follow-up for key management meetings; and directly manage the Dean's appointment and meeting calendar with faculty, students, Profiles, staff, alumni, donors, and University officers. They will supervise office staff; coordinate the day-to-day functioning and work flow of the Dean's Office to ensure effectiveness of administrative operations; oversee special projects and events; cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and serve as an ambassador for the Office of the Dean.


Required Education:Bachelor's Degree Preferred Education:Master's Degree Required Experience:5+ years progressively responsible administrative and management experience preferably in higher education, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Preferred Experience:Experience in an academic or corporate environment and experience interacting with analytical teams driven by deadlines.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide variety of internal and external people, both in formal and informal circumstances, and where necessary to gain their agreement and acceptance. Ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously to successful completion. Ability to shift back and forth between two or more activities or sources of information (such as speech, sounds, touch, or other sources). Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.

Demonstrable ability to lead and deliver strategically important projects through to completion. Demonstrates ability to plan and organize projects including schedules, budgets, and project deliverables. Demonstrates project management skills.

Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills. Skilled in Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand. Demonstrates excellent project management skills with the utmost collegiality, diplomacy and discretion.
