ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER

OVERVIEW

The Administrative Manager will assist the Chief Operating Officer in the aspects of the DHVI operations. The Administrative Manager provides management and oversight of specific projects and programs and ensures successful implementation and outcomes. Additionally, the Administrative Manager supports operational initiatives that contribute to the effective growth of business and administrative oversight of DHVI's research programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the COO to establish and accomplish organizational goals and objectives, as well as strategic plans for the organization

  • Assist in analyzing program plans on both a short- and long-term basis, including projecting potential levels of support from multiple sources of funding.

  • Contribute to the development of solutions to improve business practices to make them more efficient and oversee their implementation.

  • Participate in strategic planning with the organization's goals that contribute toward obtaining funding support, cost containment, and research productivity.

  • Provide recommendations, guidance, and direction on business matters, including operational policies and procedures, new business initiatives, and management of existing client relationships. Foster a success-oriented and accountable environment.

  • Maintain interface with departmental personnel to coordinate operational activities that support the administration of the COO's roles and responsibilities.

  • Actively contribute to new research and product development presentations.

  • Identify and implement change initiatives throughout the organization that improve workflow and productivity.

  • Support the COO in preparing reports and analyses that show progress, trends, and risks.

  • Participate in strategic and tactical brainstorming sessions across specific initiatives.

  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate rapid growth objectives.

  • Review operating results, comparing with established objectives, and recommend appropriate measures to enhance outcome.

  • Collaborate with setting goals and objectives, monitor progress, assist with performance development, and measure job performance. Maintain open performance and development communication, while encouraging growth.

  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AT THIS LEVEL

  • Education/Training: Work requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospital Administration, Accounting or a closely related field.

  • Experience: Work requires four years of related business or administrative experience to require competence in the major administrative functions of a research program or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Work requires a general business back ground generally equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a business related field.

Experience

Work requires 4 years related business or administrative experience to functions. acquire competence in applying general personnel practices, accounting and budgeting principles and coordination of major administrative A master's degree in a business related field may be substituted for 2 years experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
