Job Description and Duties

HYBRID Option Available

Eligible for telework in accordance with CDIs telework policy. Teleworking employees may be required to report to their headquarters office location on designated telework days. Travel expenses are not reimbursed, however other authorized transit subsidies do exist for those who qualify.

Administrative Law Judge: Under supervision of Presiding Administrative Law Judge, presides over quasi-judicial hearings involving the interpretation and application of provisions of the Insurance Code, Administrative Procedures Act and other applicable statutes and regulations; renders proposed decisions; and accomplishes other assignments as required under the direction of the Presiding Administrative Law Judge.

Under supervision of Presiding Supervising Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) in the Administrative Hearing Bureau (AHB) the Senior Administrative Law Judge acts at the expert level and presides over the most complex technical quasi-judicial hearings involving expert interpretation and application of provisions of the most difficult Insurance Code, Administrative Procedures Act and other applicable statutes and regulations; renders proposed decisions; and accomplishes other assignments as required under the direction of the Presiding Supervising ALJ.

This position is currently assigned to Oakland Office Headquarters, however, Headquarter Offices are alternately available in Los Angeles.

Working Conditions
