SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking a technical or administrative professional to serve as an Administrative / Knowledge Management Assistant for the Defense Systems Information Analysis Center (DSIAC) Basic Center Operations (BCO) located at Belcamp, Maryland. DSIAC encompasses nine DoD Scientific and Technical Information (STI) functional subject areas: weapon systems, energetic materials, reliability, survivability and vulnerability, military sensors, advanced materials, autonomous systems, directed energy & non-lethal weapons.
Position will be located at the SURVICE Engineering, Aberdeen Area Operation, Water's Edge Corporate Campus, Belcamp, MD.
The successful candidate will provide both administrative support and knowledge management support to the DSIAC
Administrative duties including, but not limited to, organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures to ensure organization effectiveness and efficiency; maintaining DSIAC SharePoint site; and supporting community outreach events through maintenance and shipment of DSIAC promotion materials
Knowledge management support duties involve database searches, developing Boolean search strings, and ability to effectively access/search web-based, collaborative software platforms like SharePoint
Highly desire someone that is proficient in all applications of the MS Office Professional suite to include: Official document quality publication in MS Word; MS Excel; Data basing in MS Access, presentations in MS PowerPoint, and utilization of MS Project
Must have experience in operating in an automated work-flow process environment such as SharePoint
Must be experienced researching and navigating databases to include basics of Boolean searches and establishing metadata to support literature searches of databases
Must be very customer focused and have good listening and verbal communication skills, telephone skills, and research skills
Must have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
An associate degree and 2 years of general office administration experience or a HS degree and 4 years of general office administration experience.
Active U.S. DoD Secret Clearance preferred (must be Secret eligible)
