Duties and Responsibilities
*Serve as primary operational liaison for Center on Aging projects.
*Manage day-to-day tasks and support implementation of community-engaged research projects
Network and outreach to community partners and policy makers
*Provide fiscal and administrative support for Center on Aging's extramurally funded projects; manage and reconcile general ledger of project accounts, create purchase orders, travel, payment and other fiscal processing on the RCUH and Kuali Financial systems.
Keep abreast of updated fiscal policies & procedures and federal & state policies and regulations.
Responsible for project reporting and budgeting with sponsoring agencies.
Assist with coordination of project meetings and events
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Business or Public Administration, or related field and 1 year of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for project coordination and fiscal support; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
Functional knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the area of project implementation and coordination demonstrated by knowledge, understanding and ability to apply concepts, terminology.
Functional knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and systems associated with extramural grants and contracts.
Demonstrated ability to recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve the full range problems that may commonly occur in the area of project coordination.
Demonstrated ability to understand oral and written documentation, write reports and procedures, and communicate effectively in a variety of situations.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members and individuals.
Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer, apply word processing software, spreadsheets, WordPress, Canva, and survey development and analysis software.

Desirable Qualifications
Experience and good working relationships with Hawaii's aging network and its ethnically diverse communities
Experience with extramurally funded contract and grants.
Previous experience with project planning or coordination.
Working knowledge of applied research skills including outreach, recruitment, enrollment, data collection, assessment of outcomes
Working knowledge of University and RCUH policies and procedures.
Working experience with the University's electronic systems: Kuali Financial System (KFS), RCUH Financial Portal, MyGrant
Demonstrated ability to recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve the full range of problems that may commonly occur in the area of project management.
