Administrative & Fiscal Coordinator (Global Studies/Film & Media)

William & Mary's Global Studies Program and Film & Media Studies Program invite qualified applicants for the position of Administrative & Fiscal Coordinator whose efforts support all administrative and financial needs of both programs to include leadership and faculty support. Primary responsibilities include:

• Developing administrative goals and priorities with an emphasis on budgetary management and operational efficiencies.

• Providing fiscal and administrative support for directors and affiliated faculty to include course scheduling and day-to-day management of the five Global Studies concentrations: European Studies, Latin American Studies, Russian, Eastern European, Eurasian Studies, Asian and Pacific Islander American Studies, and Asian & Middle Eastern Studies.

• Serving as the first point of contact to office visitors, students, and faculty in person and by telephone to answer or refer inquiries.

• Managing the programs' indexes by verifying accounting entries, balancing monthly expenditures against the budget, maintaining budget tracking spreadsheets, and assisting in budget planning by providing financial analysis of resources to the directors.

• Supporting communication efforts to include ongoing website and electronic media content updates.

• Coordinating program meetings and other events, e.g., the annual W&M Global Film Festival, to include guest travel, catering, logistics, and room reservations.

• Liaising with multiple units on campus such as Accounts Payable, Dean of Arts & Sciences Office, Human Resources, Procurement, Student Financial Aid, and the Office of Sponsored Programs to facilitate the processing of transactions and procurement of equipment and services.
