Position SummaryThe Administrative Director will oversee the operations and advance the strategy and goals of the Technology, Culture and Society department. The Administrative Director is responsible for the direction and coordination of all activities pertaining to the administration of the department, including but not limited to (i) supervision, operations, and administration of TCS programs (ii) preparation of financial and administrative reports (iii) overseeing and coordinating with Graduate Academics, Records and Registration, and Graduate Admissions regarding all activities and issues related to the department, and (iv) providing technical advice, problem solving assistance, answers to questions regarding M.S. program goals, and policy interpretation.

The Administrative Director will also serve as the Senior Academic Advisor in the department, who will continue to advise M.S. students on program requirements, course selection, academic planning, and CPT/OPT compliance. Qualifications Required Education:Master's Degree Preferred Education:Master's Degree Required Experience:3+ years Academic Administration Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Ability to supervise personnel, to take initiative and plan and run department activities, working with faculty and staff. Directs, plans, organizes and evaluates the administrative near and long-term operational goals and objectives in compliance with applicable regulatory standards and internal policies. 1. Develops and monitors strategic operating goals and objectives; and reports operational performance, justification and/or corrective action. 2. Develops and oversees financial management including budget, salary, capital, and revenue projections. 3. Oversees and evaluates quality management and performance improvement programs across all clinical and administrative disciplines and ensures related policies and procedures are maintained, communicated and implemented. 4. Oversees research and development of new test procedures and methodologies. 5. Oversees collaboration with the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and Hospital Information System (HIS) and seeks to enhance information systems, as necessary. 6. Reviews and approves outbound reports and documents concerning the Laboratory including, but not limited to, certificate of need (CON) submissions, financial reports, testing statistics and management reports. 7. Develops, manages and evaluates direct reports; and oversees the development, management and evaluation of indirect reports. 8. Ensures compliance with all regulatory standards including but not limited to: NYSDOH, CAP, OSHA, FDA, TJC, EPA, governing the Clinical Lab. 9. Performs related duties as required. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree, required. Master's Degree, preferred. * Licensed by New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Cytotechnologist, required. * Minimum of seven (7) years laboratory experience, including six (6) years previous supervisory experience, required.
