The Department of Chemical Engineering (CHEG) is seeking a driven and organized Administrative Coordinator. In this role, you will have the ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously; interpret requests and solve issues independently; work well with others and as part of a team.
Core responsibilities will include:
Performs administrative and clerical responsibilities for faculty requests to include:
Symposiums and other faculty project events
Group meeting food orders
Document preparation, review and distribution
Assist with coordinating communications between partners
Make copies and maintain files
Expense Report Preparation
Travel arrangements for students
Relocation support for new faculty
Serves as backup to Front Office Coordinator to support urgent functions such as key distribution, reception, package coordination, mail distribution and other administrative support as needed
Serves as backup to Administrative Coordinator to support urgent faculty support, CAPD, and academic advising administrative functions
Other duties as assigned

High school diploma/GED required; Associate degree in business or related field preferred
Equivalent experience and/or education may be considered in lieu of degree
At least 3 years of administrative experience
Experience in a higher education work environment preferred
Computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe and Outlook
