Position Summary: The Administrative Coordinator of Federal Grants is integral to the management and operational success of our Title III and V grant projects. This role involves close collaboration with project directors to ensure smooth administration, financial oversight, and compliance with university and federal guidelines. The Administrative Coordinator will play a key role in scheduling, budgeting, communication, and record-keeping, making it a pivotal position within our academic support structure.
Responsibilities Include:
Manage and maintain the appointment calendars for the grant project directors.
Administer annual budgets, including monthly updates and reconciliations.
Coordinate communication across university departments and with external stakeholders.
Serve as the recording secretary for official meetings and custodian of grant records.
Prepare and compile information for reports and presentations.
Required Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent; some college preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with other presentation tools.
Understanding of budget planning and development principles.
Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record.
Desirable Skills:
Project management experience.
Knowledge and experience with social media and web page management.
Working Conditions: The role primarily involves standard office tasks with occasional requirements to move books and equipment. The work environment is a general office setting with minimal physical hazards.
