Position: Plant Administrator Coordinator

Wage: $16.64 /hr. *overtime may be required.

Shift: 1st- 7:30 am

  • 4:00 pm. Monday

  • Friday

While reporting to the Plant Manager or Designee, you are accountable for processing invoices, managing the trucker scale operation, maintaining driving records, time logs, etc. The individual in this position is trusted with confidential information and must always maintain professionalism in the workplace.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for maintaining inventory and Barcoding processes and for operating truck scale ensuring that all incoming and outgoing trucks are weighed, documented and load information is verified.

  • Responsible for maintaining various office/departmental reports and logs as assigned.

  • Directs truck drivers to correct dock doors/area.

  • Ensures all paperwork (shipping manifest, weight tickets, and billing of lading) is signed, completed, and scanned and performs full clerical and general office duties.

  • Answers phone, records message and provides routine information.

  • Uses computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail, and database software in performing work assignments.

  • Perform housekeeping duties to maintain office area.

  • Performs as a backup role for the Scale operator.

  • Work in a team environment and demonstrate a high degree of tact, discretion, and diplomacy.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • Have an Associate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Have at least 2 years of related job experience, including purchasing and payroll processing.

  • Have the drive and curiosity to obtain working knowledge of Sonoco systems and procedures.

  • Are reliable, committed, and have a great work ethic.

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Are proficient and computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel (Pivot Tables), PowerPoint, UKG (Kronos), Workday, Oracle and Coupa.

  • Can work quickly and prioritize while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
