What is the opportunity?

Join RBC Wealth Management and be an integral part of our team that oversees operations and manages the support staff for all branches in the complex. You will report directly to the Complex Director and work closely with Operations, Compliance, and the Financial Advisors. If you are a change leader with fantastic people and leadership skills, you can use your talents to lead and develop support staff, build relationships within the complex and throughout RBC and ensure the Complex's operations run smoothly.

What will you do?

  • Oversee all aspects of staffing including interviewing, hiring and terminating and the proper completion of all requisite paperwork. Conduct performance appraisals and work with employees to identify opportunities for personal and professional development. Ensure employee goal and development plans are written and followed. Monitor performance and take appropriate action to reward or correct employee performance and conduct.

  • Communicate policy and procedural changes and other issues that impact the staff's ability to effectively perform their jobs.

  • Responsible for performing and/or supervising all approvals in RBC Workflow and Remote Deposit Capture. This includes supervision of the Complex cage and overseeing operations within the Complex.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of, and actively monitor, all requirements of the Complex and Branch operations-related policies and procedures.

  • Accept and successfully execute change while supporting employees through the process and keeping them focused on business priorities. Work with internal partners in the branch, Complex and firm-wide to contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Complex and its branches.

What do you need to succeed?


  • 7+ years of industry experience with 3+ years of management/supervisory experience

  • Series 7, 8 (or 9/10) and 66 (or 63/65)

  • Advanced understanding of the stock market, investments and retirement plans also including fixed income products, equities, and mutual funds, and in-depth understanding of the firm, regulatory and industry policies and procedures

  • Excellent communication, people and leadership skills

  • Ability to identify operational risks and escalate issues to Complex Director

Nice to have

  • Experience overseeing and managing budgets

  • Bachelor's degree
