The Administrative Care Tech contributes to high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of clerical and patient-related services to support departmental operations. The Administrative Care Tech functions as receptionist for the unit and assists the patient care team with patient centered secretarial tasks while maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient environment.
You will greet and attend to patients/visitors in waiting areas, directing them to other departments, communicating regularly, and keeping them informed of wait times as needed.
You must receive and direct all incoming calls and relays pertinent messages to others while maintaining accuracy, clarity and confidentiality. Exercise good judgment and discretion in all communications and escalate issues as appropriate.
Your role assists with patient preparation for surgery or other procedures.
You must foster positive first impressions by ensuring waiting area and work areas are tidy, organized, and safe for visitors, patients and family members.
In this role, you will perform hourly rounding and respond promptly to call lights and patient requests. Strive to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
Medical Technology Course or other vocational training is preferred
1+ Years of Experience in an Acute Care Setting is preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) Credential is required
