By joining our Office for Civil Rights and Small Business Development/Civil Rights Branch as an Administrative Branch Manager in Franklin County, you'll have the opportunity to oversee the supervision and implementation of all EEO/Civil Rights Staff and Programs within the EEO Compliance and Technology Branch as well as coordinates the Investigation and Resolution of Civil Rights Complaints, including Sexual Harassment, EEO, and Title VI.

Holders of the Administrative Branch Manager position will complete tasks such as:

  • Oversees the supervision & Implementation of all Equal Opportunity Employment (EEO)/Civil Rights Staff & programs within the EEO compliance Branch, including reviewing and approving timesheets and writing employee evaluations.

  • Coordinates the investigation & resolution of Civil Rights complaints, including sexual harassment, EEO, & Title VI.

  • Testifies on behalf of the agency in depositions.

  • Works with inter- agency offices including Office of Human Resource Management and Office of Legal Services.

  • Edits and develops training for the agency. Coordinates Branch training activities including staff developmental & professional training; Diversity, Sexual Harassment, Title IV, & EEO Supervisor Training.

  • Prepares & Delivers Oral & Written Communications & Presentations on EEO Compliance Branch Operations.

  • Reviews and summarizes staff reporting and provides statistical data for intra/inter agency for state and federal projects and Performs Special Duties as Required.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Five years of professional administrative experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A master's degree in public or business administration or a related field will substitute for one year of the required experience.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year for year basis.

Working Conditions

Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting. Minimal travel may be required.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
