General Purpose of Job:
Maintain independent office operation providing efficient, effective services while enhancing the departmental quality improvement plan. Responsible for maintaining computer databases and performing services for the Directors of: Accreditation and Performance Improvement.
This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Caregivers may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.
Prepare administrative reports on word processing database, and spreadsheet software.
Establishes, maintains, and revises record copy, maintaining filing systems; classifies, sorts and files correspondence, articles, records and other documents. Maintains office equipment including computers, printers, etc.
Arrange meetings and conferences, schedule interviews and appointments, arrange travel accommodations, and perform other duties as assigned.
Engage in a variety of contacts in and outside the hospital in order to obtain or relay information, arrange meetings, etc.
Prepare drafts and review correspondence, memorandums, and routine reports for director's signature for format, typographical accuracy, adherence to procedures and to ensure that all necessary background material is attached.
Work with and obtain direction from the Directors of Accreditation and Performance Improvement simultaneously on several projects while keeping the Director of Accreditation informed of progress and problems.
Attend meetings: taking, preparing and distributing minutes to appropriate personnel.
Perform initial Q.I. screening of records in accordance with and under the direction of the Director of Performance Improvement. Assist and assemble materials needed to perform comprehensive patient outcomes analysis.
Assist in coordination of special projects.
General Requirements N/A Work Experience See Education Education High school diploma, GED or successful completion of 12 grades combined with continued enrollment in early college program and a minimum 4 years of Administrative Assistant experience; OR Associates Degree in office administration or other related field and a minimum 2 years of Administrative Assistance experience Specialized Knowledge and Skills Medical Terminology. Typing 55 wpm. Proficient in latest versions of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software as need arises. Ability to work autonomously, with high productivity, strong communications skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize, coordinate and complete multiple and complex tasks without supervision. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact efficiently and effectively with hospital associates, physicians, and other members of the community Demonstrates ability to use a keyboard as may be required to perform the essential duties of the job.
