To perform administrative, general business support, and/or clerical functions for the Civil Space Business Development team. Ensure that all business is conducted using the highest ethical standards and in compliance with all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations as well as company policies and directives.

What You'll Do:

  • Work with sensitive and confidential information and situations appropriately and maintain proper confidentiality.

  • Assist Business Development leadership through calendar management in Outlook.

  • Work closely with leadership and mission area leads to coordinate the Gate Review process for proposals, including scheduling meetings, circulating e-mail approvals, managing changes, and ensuring presentations are disseminated in a timely fashion.

  • Develop working knowledge of Civil Space business, pursuits, and practices and provide insights and suggestions for improvements and process modifications as well as be an advocate for the processes in practice.

  • Maintain working knowledge of staff schedules, upcoming events, upcoming travel needs, and overall coordination of the civil space business development team activities.

  • Manage conference room reservations balancing ongoing meeting space needs between different pursuit groups (maintaining firewalls) and overseeing outside customers in the building.

  • Manage/maintain the Business Development library, offsite storage and retrieval of information, folders, and/or other materials.

  • Maintain standard work hours as well as have flexibility to support off hours for customer visits, proposal team support, and other extended hour needs.

  • Will work with Operations and Facilities to coordinate office moves.

  • Perform a wide variety of administrative tasks with varying levels of complexity such as:

  • Register guests with security and greet visitors and customers for meetings and events.

  • Coordinate catering, while staying within per diem range for customer meetings.

  • Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare expense reports.

  • Process invoices and coordinate office supply needs.

  • Perform computer data entry, retrieval, word processing, and prepare presentation materials. Operate other computer software programs and various other types of office equipment.

  • Liaise between Business Development and Talent Acquisition to coordinate interviews, both in-person as well as virtually.

  • May serve as a mentor to entry-level employees by providing direction and acting as a resource to resolve questions and difficult situations.

  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

  • Perform other duties as necessary.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

Hourly Rate: $23.56 - $31.13Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus 6 or more years of related experience.

  • Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor's or Master's, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

  • Professional demeanor and work habits.

  • Independence and initiative - by working with some degree of independence in terms of scheduling, job duties, and taking initiative when seeing things that need to be done.

  • Demonstrated application of judgment within standard operating guidelines. Use knowledge of company policies and department needs to determine the best course of action.

  • Good communication skills by responding to routine and non-routine inquiries.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $49000 - $64750

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
