Description: This position is the college curriculum coordinator and collaborates with the Associate Dean for program development in the College of Arts and Sciences. The college curriculum coordinator provides executive-level administrative support by implementing curricular innovations and proactively solving procedural and clerical problems for processing curriculum proposals. In collaboration with the Associate Dean, this position serves as an expert resource with University offices for program development.
Responsibilities:
Acts as the primary resource for departments during the curriculum process, advising faculty and staff regarding curriculum issues and change proposals
Trains faculty in the software site and writes training material, ensuring University policies and procedures are followed, as well as college-specific processes
Supervises the software site for curriculum change documents, and coordinates and attends all curriculum committee meetings, providing process guidance
Establishes the curricular procedures and deadlines for departments and the College
Monitors the outcomes for curriculum proposals and creates communication pathways to update departments on their proposals
Evaluates all change proposals for correctness, coherence, consistency, and policy compliance
Advises the Associate Dean on the correctness, coherence, and consistency of the College's catalog with University policies
Implements decisions from the College Council on curriculum changes by coordinating departments, Advising, the Registrar, and the Graduate School on the changes and writing the new catalog material for submission and review by the College's committees
Modifies procedures when necessary for a proposal's advancement through the review process
Maintains directory information for every department in the Catalog in collaboration with the Communications Team
Updates the College's website on curricular matters
Assists the Associate Dean in working with departments on summer school and Online Degree Completion course offerings
Coordinates with OIT and LIT to arrange appropriate training for online course delivery
Assists the Associate Dean in overseeing both graduate and undergraduate programming in the College, overseeing the Online IDP Degree Completion Program, working with partners for the Online IDP Degree Completion Program, and reviewing annual program assessment reports
Initiates, populates, and circulates elections for the College's five curriculum committees.
Advises the College's five curriculum committees and Interdisciplinary Programs Committee on the importance of each meeting
Establishes deadlines for the committees and organizes the agenda for the meetings with the committee Chairs
Creates, populates, and disseminates updates on the curricular process for each committee's Teams Site
Follows-up on action items on behalf of the Committees
Advises the College's five Interdisciplinary Programs on program updates, cross-listing coordination with other departments, and other key issues
Provides Banner support to Interdisciplinary Programs
Provides support for Winter and Summer Mini-Term program scheduling and management
Produces required and ad-hoc reports used in THEC reporting and for Provost's Office requests

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Required
Thorough knowledge of the curriculum and its processes and procedures, rules and regulations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
Experience working with implementation processes
Demonstrated ability to prepare and edit documents
Ability to work with diverse faculty and staff
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with department heads, faculty, and staff
Preferred
Knowledge of SharePoint
Knowledge of Banner 9 and Argos
Knowledge of IRIS
Knowledge of Curriculog
