The Division of Services for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing (DSDHH) assures equal access to North Carolina citizens who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deaf-Blind.
This Administrative Associate II position is with the Division of Services for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing and is located in the Raleigh Regional Center. This position is responsible for providing a comfortable office environment for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or deaf-blind.
Job responsibilities include the following:
Responsible for training regarding in-house office procedures for new staff
Handles end of day closing processes for the regional center
Knowledge of the programs and operations of the division that are essential to appropriately route visitors and callers
Responsible for logistics and taking minutes associated with meetings

Management Preferences
Exceptional Customer Service; ability to use TTY and video phone; knowledge of the programs of the Division of Services for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing. Basic knowledge of working with consumers with various degree of hearing loss. Basic sign language skills is a preference, and must be willing to learn if there is no prior possession of these skills. Additional preferences:
Maintaining office equipment, supplies, and inventories
Processing mail
Working with various filing systems
Scheduling and coordinating appointments and meetings; taking and generating meeting minutes
Creating documents including Calendars of Events and fliers, drafting correspondence/ memorandums, and generating reports

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience;
