Murdoch is currently recruiting for an Administrative Associate II located in Summerset Cottage.  Summerset Cottage provides specialized direct services to individuals with extreme behavioral challenges in the Murdoch ASD Treatment and Clinical Habilitation (MATCH) Unit, the Partners in Autism Treatment and Habilitation (PATH) Unit, the WRIGHT Group Home located in Franklinton, N.C., and the PATH Group Home in Oxford, N.C. The Administrative Associate II is under the supervision of the Administrative Specialist I and assists as needed to type documents including letters, memorandums, evaluations, reports, and any other necessary correspondence in the division.   This position is responsible for greeting and assisting visitors; answering incoming calls on a multi-line telephone system and delivering messages; compiling monthly staff schedules; compiling monthly monitoring schedules and reports; balancing and reconciling figures daily; maintaining and updating individuals' financial accounts; ordering personal comforts and office supplies for the division weekly, ensuring that adequate amounts of appropriate items are available for individuals and staff; and preparing and handling work orders.  Position assumes responsibilities for office operations in the absence of the Administrative Specialist I, as needed, and performs other related duties as assigned.  This position also shares responsibilities for providing office assistance to sister cottages.  Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) skills, as well as CPR and First Aid certification are required for this position.

Scheduled work hours: Monday

  • Friday, 8:00 a.m.

  • 5:00 p.m. or 8:30 a.m.

  • 5:00 p.m., and working one mandatory Saturday per year for Murdoch Center's Annual Farm Day Event.

This is a full-time position and eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance, paid sick/vacation/holidays, retirement, etc.

  • Independently plan, prioritize, and organize time to accomplish work objectives within established time frames.

  • Ability to deal with more than one task simultaneously.

Physical requirements:

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience
