Today, the organization provides an array of clinical, behavioral health and educational programs to more than 2,000 children, youth and adults living with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses across the state of Maine.
Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Intake and Utilization Department through serving the following job functions:
Receiving referral information
Requesting, obtaining, and filing of required eligibility documentation
Maintaining accurate, up to date tracking systems of information related to referral, enrollment, discharge and authorization status
Entering and updating of consumer data and records in electronic records and information systems
Provide support with frequent follow up communication to families waiting for services.
Enters additional information as needed into various tracking systems and electronic health record systems
Ensures compliance with all regulations related to DHHS oversight and funding.
Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality consistent with the protection of child and adult human rights.
Experience using electronic health records systems and familiarity with intake & discharge processes is strongly preferred.
Schedule & Compensation
This is a full-time (32-40 hours/week) position based at our offices in Westbrook, ME, and includes a generous benefits package, flexible work environment, and much more!
The potential for this position to be a part-time opportunity would also be considered for the right candidate.
$19-20/per hour
Qualifications
Minimum of high school diploma/G.E.D., with an additional two years of experience in administrative support.
Experience in social service related field and knowledge about the needs of children living with disabilities and mental health issues is preferred.
Must maintain positive and effective communication with program staff, parents, providers and consumers.
Must be detail oriented and possess excellent organization skills, excellent verbal and written communication and human relation skills.
Computer Experience to include Microsoft Word, Excel programs, data entry, word-processing, spreadsheets and electronic health record system.
Valid driver's license & insured vehicle
