Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance.

The Administrative Assistant for the Office of the President will provide support and backup to the President's Office and the Executive Assistant by providing exceptional customer service and assistance to both internal and external guests, in person and over the telephone. This position will also be responsible for assisting the Executive Assistant with the financial operations of the office by entering and receiving orders in eVA, preparing the monthly purchase card packet, and maintaining the inventory of office supplies.
This position will also assist with meeting preparations; collecting, opening, and distribution of mail and other information received in the Office of the President; and perform other duties as needed in the office. This position will be expected to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
Working knowledge of administrative and office practices and procedures. Working knowledge of standard English grammar, punctuation, and usage; and telephone/receptionist practices providing exemplary customer service.
Demonstrated ability to professionally interact with individuals with a wide range of interests and backgrounds, to include students, faculty, business and industry leaders, and the general public. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and current software packages, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Additional Considerations
Experience working as administrative support in an executive level office is preferred. Some experience working with the Commonwealth's software systems, such as eVA, is also preferred.
Operation of a State Vehicle No Supervises Employees No Required Travel
This position may be asked to attend college events and meetings as needed.
