GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: FLSA: Hourly

Support the Directors of Educational Services Department in their effort to foster an optimal educational environment for students.

MAJOR TASKS:

  • Coordinate and schedule Directors of Educational Services for events and activities.

  • Coordinate and schedule Gifted, Kindergarten Early Entrance and AZELLA testing.

  • Coordinates all activities pertaining to district-wide staff development including purchase orders, room reservations, purchasing supplies and materials, and tracking attendance and surveys through designated technology platforms (i.e., Vector).

  • Assists with purchasing supplies and materials as needed for Directors in the Educational Services Department.

  • Assist with organizing committee meetings pertaining to curriculum, instruction, and assessment.

  • Organize and maintain a working list of curriculum materials and supplemental resources.

  • Assist with State Testing process.

  • Maintain databases for SEI students, Title I students, and gifted students.

  • Assist with coordination of district-wide PD and New Teacher Orientation/Mentoring Programs.

  • Assist with district Ed Services website upkeep and support calls.

  • Prepares correspondence and all materials for meetings and professional learning activities.

  • Provides support in student data and rostering projects, to include importing and exporting of student, teacher and school level data.

  • Utilizes databases in support of educational technology applications.

  • Provides usage analysis and reports on all educational technology applications.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of student information systems.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of database technology.

  • Answer phones and direct calls or messages for the Educational Services Department Directors.

  • Maintain records and submits reports.

  • File and update correspondence and documents to assure confidentiality.

  • Greets visitors and screens telephone calls, routing them as appropriate

  • Complete other related duties and tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service

  • A high school graduate or equivalent.

  • Additional schooling in a technology trade or three (3) years' experience working with student information systems is preferred.

  • Experience with databases, Google applications, Microsoft applications, and Adobe Acrobat preferred.

  • Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and work independently with a high degree of detail.

  • General knowledge of databases, software applications, and Internet use.

  • Secretarial or clerical experience.

  • Computer literate in word processing and spreadsheet software.

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Must be able to perform major tasks.

  • Must be able to work independently from oral and/or written instructions

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
