The Administrative Assistant provides office support and project coordination for the KTIS Station Manager, including overseeing general office functions for KTIS.

What will I do in this position?
Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Promote a positive image to of KTIS to KTIS staff, donors, listeners, and Northwestern Media and University staff.
Assist the station manager with initiatives which maintain a strong and healthy culture at KTIS.
Prioritize Station Manager's meetings and requests for meetings, schedule appointments and maintain calendars. Coordinate meetings, prepare materials and copies as needed.
Review station e-mail accounts, responding to general questions and directing or redirecting appropriately. Receive, sort and process mail daily. Provide phone relief as needed.
Generate, edit, and send correspondence. Prepare agendas, reports, and statistical data. Maintain accurate and current files of all correspondence and meetings.
Answer calls for station manager as needed, record and distribute messages.
Process expense reports and reconcile monthly P-card for station, station manager, and program director.
Process purchase orders, requisitions, invoice payments, and other general financial needs for KTIS.
In collaboration with Station Manager and other KTIS staff, provide support for KTIS fundraising events to help ensure comprehensive preparation and successful execution.

What will it take to succeed in this position?
Minimum Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum of three years experience in office support role required
Continually nurture a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; serve as a consistent witness for Jesus Christ; maintain a kind, Christ-like attitude in dealing with and ministering to people within and outside of Northwestern; and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern's mission, doctrinal statement, and Declaration of Christian Community.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with a variety of individuals in a professional, kind, and tactful manner
Ability to work in both a team environment and independently, without close supervision
Self-starter with ability to work in an organized fashion and complete projects accurately within deadlines
Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Intermediate computer proficiency
Ability to maintain confidential information
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent writing, editing, and proof-reading skills
Ability to pass a background check upon hire and periodically throughout the course of employment
