Job Duties
The Office of the Executive Secretary of the Supreme Court of Virginia is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented person with excellent administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills to perform administrative duties as Administrative Assistant to the Director of the Court Improvement Program. The Court Improvement Program focuses on improving the court system's ability to manage and resolve cases involving children who are abused or neglected, or in foster care.
Virginia has received grant funding for this department from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services since 1995.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant include (i) general office administration, calendaring, monitoring phone calls, and processing mail; filing and email maintenance (ii) maintaining committee membership, scheduling, and supporting meetings; (iii) tracking grant requirements and expenditures; (iv) reviewing reimbursement vouchers for accuracy; (iv) providing operational support for the department; and (v) assisting as requested by the Director. The Administrative Assistant will be part of the OES Court Improvement Program and report to the department's Director.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must: (i) have demonstrated organizational and office administration skills; (ii) be competent in Outlook, Access, Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and WebEx; (iii) use excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills in the workplace; (iv) work well independently and collaboratively; (v) have experience in meeting planning; and (vi) have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Considerations
Competitive applicants will have a minimum of two years of court, business, or office experience. A working knowledge of MS SharePoint, OneNote, PowerPoint, SurveyMonkey, and other online survey tools is preferred.
