Under the direction of The Cliff General Manager, assists General Manager and Lodging Director in all administrative duties.

Position Functions / Areas of Responsibility

  • Coordinates and updates schedules of General Manager and Lodging Director.

  • Maintains a high degree of flexibility to assist with a variety of special projects, in all departments at the Cliff.

  • Organizing, filing, keeps track of expenses.

  • Corresponds with management and guests on an individual basis to resolve problems and concerns.

  • Communicates with vendors and contractors on managements behalf.

  • Prepares agendas and minutes for all meetings.

  • Responsible for ordering all office supplies as well as amenities for hospitality functions.

  • Maintains informational protocols, safety manuals and various policy needs for all Cliff departments.

  • Communicates with marketing to help to order needs for the Cliff.

  • Helps coordinate projects and billing for the Cliff

  • Will need to be informed when General Manager or Director are out of office for any staff needs.

  • Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • College degree in related field preferred.

  • Additional related work experience may be substituted for education of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.

Specific Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Position requires knowledge of hospitality based property management systems.

  • A high level of computer proficiency required including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point.

  • Position requires a high degree of self-motivation.

  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.

  • Responsible for a wide range of duties that include purchasing, internal and external communications and internal marketing programs.

Work Schedule

  • Shifts vary, may be early morning or late evening, weekends, holidays, depending on business levels.

  • Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.

  • May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.

Working Conditions

  • General office environment with some physical activity.

  • Work is routine in pleasant, comfortable surroundings. General office conditions prevail.

  • Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult, frequent exposure to noise.

The Aerie features a lounge, main dining room, private function space, and an award winning wine list. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager willing to take on a new challenge. Under the direction of the management staff responsible for managing daily restaurant operation, including team member development and performance, inventory, ordering of food and supplies, optimize profits and ensure that guests are satisfied with their dining experience. Position Functions / Areas of Responsibility * Must be confident with wine knowledge to help guest and sell wine from a 1200 selection wine list. * Provides directional flow of restaurant during service. * Responsible for coordinating and communicating with front and back of house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. * Maintains daily records including revenues and payroll and is responsible for monthly profit and loss statements. * Rewards and disciplines as merited by team member performance. Assigns, oversees and evaluates employee work performance. Recommends promotion, transfer or termination of team members based on performance evaluation. * Assists General Manager with interviewing, hiring, training and scheduling of staff. * Ensures standards of appearance and sanitation are maintained on a daily basis. * Maintains good safety practices of employees and guests throughout the property. * Follows state policies and regulations for serving alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner. Education & Experience Requirements * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * Associates degree in related field. Specific Requirements * Must be at least 21 years of age. * Food Handler Permit, Tips Cert, Sheriff Work Card, UDABC Check Skills & Knowledge * Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, including excellent guest service, listening and oral communication skills, also conflict management and dispute resolution skills. Must demonstrate competency in reading, writing and arithmetic with accuracy in counting, adding subtracting, multiplying dividing. Ability to learn menus, wine lists and display extensive knowledge in wine. Proficiency in handling large sums of money. Must direct staff activities and address guest issues while maintaining interactions between the dining room, the kitchen and the bar. Administrative * Ability to handle, process, maintain and protect guest personal information, including credit card information, in compliance with all company or department policies and procedures according to PCI rules and requirements. This includes privacy and confidentiality, reporting, storage and disposal of sensitive information. Will not share or disclose any guest personal or financial information to anyone unless authorized by the guest, manager or company or unless disclosure is permitted within departmental policies and procedures. * Requires judgment within policy guidelines and initiation of activities within job description and responsibility limitations. Understanding other Snowbird operations is essential. Work Schedule * Rotating schedule based on business levels, including weekends and holidays. * Restaurant hours of operation: 4:00pm-9:00pm, daily * Lounge: 4:00pm-10:00pm. * Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures. Working Conditions * May experience unusual stress from continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird. * Must be able to lift 25 lbs. * Must be able to stand for long periods of time. * Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
