Job Title: Administrative Assistant, School of Nursing
Reporting Structure: Dean, College of Nursing & Health Sciences and Department Chair, School of Nursing
Division: College of Nursing & Health Sciences
Effectively and efficiently, manage the School of Nursing, ensuring accurate data management, analysis and improve record keeping processes for the department. Successfully multi-task across multiple programs within the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Possess adaptability, ability to make effective independent judgement and ability to handle sensitive employee and student information. Establish and maintain positive, constructive working relationships with faculty, staff and students, particularly under challenging circumstances. This position reports to the Dean of CoNHS and Dept. Chair of Nursing.
Innovative, resourceful and able to complete tasks with little direction.
General clerical duties including photocopying, fax and mailing.
Maintenance of office records, filing and storage of area's documents.
Assist in preparing requisitions, invoices, letters and other documents.
Submit requests for office and promotional items.
Prepare schedule, agendas and provide meeting minutes.
Assist with processing program applications and admission requirements and procedures.
Assist the Executive Administrative Assistant with other duties assigned.
Ability to work independently
Strong writing skills and effective organizational and planning.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Abode Acrobat, and telecommunication systems.
Contribute in a positive aspect to a team environment
Organizational skills and an ability to multi-task
High level of confidentiality, flexibility and adaptability
Provide exceptional customer service.
Education and Experience:
Associate's degree or 5 years of equivalent experience.
Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software
Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment
Working environment is a normal business office setting.
Typically, the incumbent may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or carrying of light items.
