Requirements: Normal Office Environment Hours of Work: 37.5 Hours per week, Full-time Job Summary: The Public Relations and Development Assistant will help further the mission of Liberty ARC by providing excellent support for the organization. The Public Relations and Development Assistant is responsible for the development administrative operations of the Public Relations and Development Department, including gift processing, donor acknowledgement, donor database management, event coordination, and support for the grant application and public relations aspect of the department. This position reports directly to the Director of Public Relations and Development. Job Qualifications:
Associates degree required with a Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent direct experience in development may be substituted.
Minimum of two years experience in nonprofit fundraising with a particular expertise in event planning, database management and annual giving skills preferred
Expertise with Microsoft Office including fluency with Word, Excel and Outlook required.
Experience in a development database preferred.
Experience in Adobe Suite a plus.
Major
Responsibilities:
Coordinate all aspects of fundraising events, including but not limited to:
Establish budget in conjunction with Department Director
Develop listing of potential donors/sponsors
Develop, arrange production & distribute solicitation materials
Personally solicit donors at all giving levels
Event coordination/Establish and manage event action plan
Coordinate all aspects of Annual Membership Campaign
Assist and work closely with Department Director on Agencys Annual Appeal
Be responsible for gift entry process: check daily mail, online donations, work with Business Office, make deposits, any and all transactions to the Foundation
Be responsible for all timely acknowledgment of Liberty Foundation donations
Be responsible for overall database management; ongoing maintenance of donor records, point person for database reports and mailing lists
Assists Department Director with community development opportunities/Liberty ARC events/activities
Provides ongoing support to all other aspects of the Public Relations and Development Department
