Job Description:

In this role, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting Media Sales VPs on all day-to day issues.

Responsibilities

  • Manage calendars and meetings

  • Prepare expense reports

  • Answer phones and take messages

  • Greet visitors and set them up in security system

  • Book travel

  • Prepare team forecasts

  • Contribute to administrative pool as needed

Skills & Experience

  • Excel skills required

  • Exceptional organizational, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills

We speak regularly to members of the news media and are the face of the firm across the country. The team is led by a managing director in New York City and an executive director based in Chicago. Daily responsibilities will include * Booking travel and managing expenses for senior communications executives, including staying up-to-date on any relevant internal Regulatory and Compliance policies * Handle electronic documentation and organization of communications events * Use software tools to develop and maintain mass-distribution lists for written internal employee communications * Ensure that the media team phone lines are answered during normal business hours and media subscription information are maintained on a daily basis. * Assisting with video production, webcasts and telecommunications for use on the J.P. Morgan external and internal websites * Traditional and new media monitoring on streaming video and broadcast sites, blogs and social media such as Twitter and You Tube The position will report to the managing director based in New York. Qualified candidates will have at least 7 years of experience supporting a team of corporate executives. Applicants should be proficient in digital and social media, as well as digital record keeping. Experience using Excel, the media database Gorkana and the online software Sharepoint are required.
