General Summary The first review of candidates will be Monday,October 1, 2018, at 12:00 p.m., or when a sufficient number of applications have been received.
Provides a wide array of administrative assistance to elected officials and the City Manager.
Provides a high level of customer service and develops strong working relationships with City staff, City residents and business owners.
Aids in coordination and planning to facilitate meetings and programs such as the State of the City, Veteran's Event and other community involvement programs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities The following duties are normal for this position.

Handles a variety of administrative details for the City Manager's Office Exhibits a service oriented attitude toward customers and maintains productive working relationships.
Assists in conducting research, analyzing findings and preparing reports.
Event support for the State of the City, dedications, Christmas tree lighting, cultural events, volunteer recognition, and HOA Managers' Quarterly luncheon.
Coordinates logistical arrangements including audio/visual equipment.
Responds to public concerns requiring communication with other departments.
Schedules appointments, maintains calendars.
Supports in maintaining a calendar for conference rooms or other facilities.
Makes travel arrangements as needed.
Maintains administration vehicles for staff and council use.
Assist with planning, and set up of all meals for Council.
Operates a personal computer, telephones, copiers and other general office equipment; with proficiency.
Receives mail, administrative forms, work orders, registration forms, reservation requests or other documents from the public and/or employees.
Prepares documents for functions, to include the use of word processing, spreadsheet, database, or other system software.
Performs related work as required.
Minimum and Preferred Entrance Qualifications Education and Experience At least two years of relevant college-level or an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Management, or a related field At least three (3) years of clerical or paraprofessional experience in office management, professional secretary, administrative assistant or high level clerk.
Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities Licenses or Certifications Possession of a valid Arizona driver's license.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS Will be required to pass a typing test with 45 WPM Will be required to pass a Microsoft Office test with Intermediate levels of knowledge.
This position may require the applicant to work evenings, weekends, special events and some holidays.Advance notification will be provided when these circumstances arise.
