Role Summary

To provide administrative and clerical support to the Castings Department. Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of employee personnel files and other departmental information, contribute to team efforts to meet required training of the department, develop an understanding to the process and procedures of the department and how they affect the customer, and follow all Health and Safety programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies.

  • Understand and promote Magna's philosophies (Magna Operational Principles, Corporate Constitution and Employee's Charter).

  • Follow and comply with all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs (Magna and OSHA Standards).

  • Perform daily system audits within Castings Dept.

  • Responsible for tracking requisitions

  • Maintain production boards including monthly circle graphs, circle of skills, etc.

  • Provide assistance to Dept. Manager with maintenance of ORG Chart and other confidential correspondence

  • Organize meetings, including setting up video and/or telephone conferences, reserving rooms and resources, and sending out meeting notices to all

Key Qualifications/Requirements

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year degree is preferred, or equivalent experience

TECHNICAL TRAINING: Business Administration

OTHER: Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes

VIEW JOBS 2/18/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-18T00:00 Healogics is hiring for Administrative Support to join our Wound Care Center team in Birmingham, AL Schedule: Full Time Monday-Friday, Standard Daytime Business Hours Job Summary: The Front Office Coordinator manages a variety of front office functions and is key to smooth operation of a dynamic outpatient wound care center as well as performs general office duties to assist the staff of the WCC. All Healogics employees should perform their job responsibilities according to Healogics clinical and employee policies, and Hospital policies, as well as to accrediting organizations, federal and state regulation, and to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines, as applicable. Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Coordinates with Center leadership to maximize daily patient census. Actively participates in staff meetings to support key functions within the Center. Greets patients and other visitors, answers and routes calls to appropriate staff. Maintains all patient communication needs including scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders. Also works and schedules for provider, according to the care continuum model. Obtains and verifies patient insurance information, to include pre-certifications and pre-authorizations for services and enters data in appropriate databases. Collects and enters patient charges in databases. Verifies and reconciles charges as directed, prepares monthly patient survey data and appropriate documentation, then transmits to providers. Assembles new patient charts, maintains and files existing patient charts, and spot checks charts for data completeness and signatures. Coordinates/schedules ancillary testing with other hospital departments. Arranges for patient transportation as needed. Maintains office equipment and supplies as needed, and medical supplies as directed. Performs other duties as required. Required Education, Experience and Credentials: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Two or more years office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting Prior medical coding experience preferred Associate’s degree preferred Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Good customer, interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing Organization and time-management skills Ability to type 60 words per minute (wpm) Basic math skills Attention to details Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to work in fast paced environment and to work on multiple projects at the same time Ability to work with others and in a team environment Healogics is the nation’s largest healthcare provider for wound care services and offers our consulting services to nearly 800 hospitals throughout the United States.
