Role Summary

To provide administrative and clerical support to the Castings Department. Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of employee personnel files and other departmental information, contribute to team efforts to meet required training of the department, develop an understanding to the process and procedures of the department and how they affect the customer, and follow all Health and Safety programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies.

  • Understand and promote Magna's philosophies (Magna Operational Principles, Corporate Constitution and Employee's Charter).

  • Follow and comply with all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs (Magna and OSHA Standards).

  • Perform daily system audits within Castings Dept.

  • Responsible for tracking requisitions

  • Maintain production boards including monthly circle graphs, circle of skills, etc.

  • Provide assistance to Dept. Manager with maintenance of ORG Chart and other confidential correspondence

  • Organize meetings, including setting up video and/or telephone conferences, reserving rooms and resources, and sending out meeting notices to all

Key Qualifications/Requirements

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year degree is preferred, or equivalent experience

TECHNICAL TRAINING: Business Administration

OTHER: Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes
