The Client and Community Restoration division is seeking an Employment Coordinator. This position is funded through DPS-OJP Community Crime Intervention and Prevention program grant.

Location and hours:

This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at the Hennepin County Client and Community Restoration building, 3000 North 2nd Street, Minneapolis, MN 55411. and remote as job duties require. Work hours will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.

  • 4:30 p.m. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.

About the position type:

This is a limited duration (temporary) full-time, benefit earning position expected to last up to December 31st, 2025.

In this position, you will:

  • Plan implement and direct a Community Productive Day comprehensive employment readiness program.

  • Provide supervision and work alongside the Case Management Assistant to provide individual job coaching. This includes resume writing, interview preparation and job search planning.

  • Identify and build relationships with employers and facilitate participant hiring.

  • Develop a process for providing support and follow-up for participants following hiring.

Need to have:

  • One of the following:

  • Six or more years of experience in general administrative work related to the management of departmental/organizational operations or in a specialty area appropriate to the position.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in public administration, business administration, or other field appropriate to the position and two or more years of experience in general administrative work relating to the management of departmental/organizational operations or in a specialty area appropriate to the position.

A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Hennepin County driver's permit.Nice to have:

  • Experience:

  • Using the Correctional Services Technology Solutions (CSTS) client tracking system.

  • Supervising staff and assisting them in work force development.

  • Interpreting and administering client risk and needs assessment.

Ability to:

  • Establish and maintain working relationships within and outside organization.

  • Perform complex general administrative work, including adapt to changing circumstances, manage competing priorities and respond to last minute requests. Work independently with minimal direction; prioritize work; handle multiple demands and competing priorities; and process documents efficiently.

  • Communicate both verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences.
