The Administrative Assistant in Residential Life plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of residential life functions within the undergraduate college community. This position is integral to ensuring the smooth execution of administrative tasks, budget management, annual housing process, facilitating communication between various stakeholders, and contributing to the overall well-being and satisfaction of the college's residential students.
This is a full time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $19.26 - $23.59.
Core Responsibilities:
Manages student, family, colleague, and vendor communication via telephone, in person and email including point-of-contact triage to staff, services, resources, and policies
Creates and maintains calendars for assigned staff, website content, service listings, staff profiles, and event reservations and information
Provides support for staff and students as an administrator in the housing software system, completing timely documentation according to best practices
Assists in all in all large housing processes and projects including room selection, fire safety inspections, and housing transitions
Assists in and tracks housing operations, student engagement, quality assurance, and quality improvement metrics in collaboration with leadership staff
Provides administrative support for Associate Dean and other staff as assigned including budget management and reconciliation for supplies, contracts, outreach, student staff payments, and programming purchases
Communicates and collaborates effectively with students, division staff, campus partners, and community stakeholders
Supports and assists other Dean of Students staff (including the Dean of Students), teams and initiatives as necessary and feasible.
