Joseph T. Ryerson & Son, Inc., a leading distributor and fabricator of metals in the US, are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team at our corporate office in Lisle, IL. The successful candidate will be responsible for administrative support functions to the VP of Information Technology as well as the Burns Harbor sales team (located in Lisle, IL). Successful candidate will execute duties that include a wide variety of diverse administrative office functions such as answering phones, screening visitors, filing, shipment processing, and organization of information.
Roles & Responsibilities
Arranges high volume executive travel, often on very short notice, with high demand for calendar adjustment and very tight time tolerances.
Maintains and coordinates multiple executive calendars, necessitating the highest degree of flexibility, urgency and creativity in independently resolving scheduling conflicts.
Acts as liaison to building management regarding daily service and maintenance issues
Reconciles, enters, and submits monthly expense reports. Works with AMEX as needed to resolve executive corporate card billing discrepancies
Reconciles & process invoices
Plans and coordinates office functions, events, meetings while communicating details to office personnel
Completes other projects and duties as assigned
Set up of new customers
Maintain and update customer information
Verification of tax ID numbers
Maintain customer tax certifications
Submit tax exemption certs
