Preferred Qualifications
Previous work experience in a university setting, preferably within an academic department. Knowledge of university and academic policies and procedures.
Proficiency in utilizing Texas State systems, including, but not limited to, SAP, Banner, CatsWeb, and Logi.

Job Description
The Department of Health and Human Performance (HHP) seeks a skilled and motivated individual for a full-time staff position. This person will provide administrative and clerical support to the faculty and staff of the department. This position is in-person on the San Marcos campus.
Job Duties
Collaborate with the chair, administrative assistant III, COE budget analyst, and budget office to ensure precise accounting of departmental expenses about the budget and strict adherence to procurement and strategic sourcing policies. Conduct extensive research on vendors and products to prepare and process purchase requisitions, generate purchase orders via SAP or TSUS Marketplace, track and monitor shipments, and verify the receipt of goods.
Procure goods and services, including catering, through the procurement card as needed and in compliance with the State of Texas Comptroller and university policies. Submit required forms for restricted purchases and maintain completion of P-Card logs and reconciliation.
Submit invoices for account manager approval and verify payments processed by AP.
Handle financial transactions, including reimbursements, refunds, invoice payments, and FS-03 substitute invoices through an e-NPO: process internal sponsorships, transfers for the cost of goods or services, and reallocating expenses between university departments. Receive funds from students, faculty, staff, and the public community, prepare a deposit, and submit it to Student Business Services.
Answer the telephone, screen, and transfer calls, take messages, and refer callers to other offices as needed.
Greet, screen, and route visitors as needed.
Establish and maintain an effective filing system and review files for completeness.
Maintain and inventory of office supplies and order new supplies as necessary.
