High school diploma or GED
Evidence of attention to detail, as demonstrated in a grammatically correct, articulate, and concise cover letter addressed to the McCoy College Advising Search Committee
Demonstrated knowledge of common office software applications, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite. (Must indicate specific software applications in which you have experience on the application, resume or cover letter)
Demonstrated interpersonal skills in varied work situations and working as a team member.
Experience or ability to monitor and balance a budget
Evidence of experience working with difficult situations, time pressures and multitude of interruptions
Demonstrated ability to write coherently and precisely
Preferred Qualifications

Job Description
The Administrative Assistant II, under supervision of a director, provides administrative and clerical support to the McCoy College Advising Center, supervises student employees, and manages front desk operations.
Job Duties
Oversee front desk operations and foster a professional/student-centered environment in the reception area
Open and close the office at set times
Greet, screen, and route visitors in a courteous manner
Assist students, parents, faculty, staff, and visitors by answering questions and/or referring to appropriate campus resource
Answer multi-line telephone, screen and transfer calls, take messages, and refer to other offices as appropriate
Maintain multi-user electronic calendar and schedule appointments for advising center staff
Recruit, screen, and hire staff of student employees
Provide initial and ongoing training to staff of student employees
Create student employee schedules; track and approve pay for student workers
Monitor advising center inbox and respond/forward emails appropriately
Order office supplies, track expenditures, and reconcile budget
Monitor inventory of office technology and assist with replacement purchase process
Submit facility-related requests, as well as track and perform follow-up
Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive records and files according to the record retention schedule
Coordinate travel arrangements and track all travel related requisitions and expense reports
Other duties as assigned
