This role REQUIRES you to work Pacific Standard Time schedule

Provides secretarial/administrative support to the manager band or above. Uses business software applications (e.g., word processing, presentation and spreadsheet) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc. Receives, screens and directs incoming calls, visitors, mail and email. Maintains files, records, calendars and diaries. May arrange business travel, coordinate meeting arrangements, and/or track expenses.

  • Performs general administrative duties for department as required, including preparation of correspondence and documents with confidential information (e.g. email, presentations, reports, etc.).

  • Schedules meetings, maintains calendars, and coordinates events; creates and distributes agenda and meeting summary.

  • May provide support to other administrative and clerical assistants.


  • H.S. Diploma
  • Required
  • Associate's Degree
  • Preferred
  • 3 years of experience in an administrative role.

VIEW JOBS 9/26/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-12-25T00:00 The Ohio Attorney General's Office is currently seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and hardworking individual for an Administrative Assistant 1 vacancy in the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) Section. This position is expected to report daily to the office in London, OH. The Bureau of Criminal Investigation, known as BCI, houses the state's official crime lab and identification services serving all of Ohio, as well as the criminal justice community. BCI also provides expert criminal investigative services to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies upon request. With offices throughout the state, BCI stands ready to respond 24/7 to law enforcement agencies' needs. Staff at BCI work every day to provide the highest level of service. This includes special agents who are on call 24/7 to offer investigative assistance to law enforcement, knowledgeable scientists and forensic specialists using cutting-edge technology to process evidence to bring criminals to justice, and criminal intelligence analysts and identification specialists who help local law enforcement solve cases. Experienced special agents, forensic scientists, and other law enforcement experts' staff BCI's three main divisions: 1) Identifications 2) Investigations and 3) Laboratory. The duties for the position include, but are not limited to the following: * Assists the Administrative team in defining goals & objectives as they relate to operation of Attorney General's Office (e.g., BCI); assists with developing policies & procedures for Operations; transmits directive/assignments from the Administrative team to appropriate personnel. * Manages calendar for the Administrative team; makes recommendations regarding prioritization of meeting & speaking engagement requests; prepares correspondence; serves as liaison between public, staff, & the Administrative team; provides work direction on behalf of the Administrative team. * Performs other duties as assigned: attends meetings, public functions & conferences; performs clerical tasks (e.g., processes incoming mail; answering phones and screens calls; greets and directs visitors); assists with responses to public record requests, subpoenas and constituent inquiries. AGO# 21-09-138 Completion of associate core coursework in business administration, management science or public administration. * Or 12 months' training or 12 months' experience in areas cited previously. * Or alternative, equivalent evidence of the Major Worker Characteristics noted above.
