Utah Valley University is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant! Working under general supervision, the Administrative Assistant performs secretarial work such as composing routine correspondence, maintaining records, obtaining/providing factual information, requiring knowledge of policies/procedures of both the university and high schools, driving to local high schools or other locations. Performs other duties as appointed by Director of Advising and Outreach. This position is currently staffed at the UVU Orem Campus.
Performs moderately complex and confidential administrative work such as entering student data, maintaining records, scheduling appointments, composing routine correspondence. Obtaining/providing accurate information requiring knowledge of policies and procedures of both assigned and work related areas.
Operates office equipment such as photocopier, fax machine, scanner and calculator. Maintains filing systems, databases, records, and/or other documents. Evaluates and processes all incoming paperwork.
Takes notes at meetings including departmental in-services. Assists in marketing projects, maintains the department's social media sites, and performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate's degree and one year of experience or any combination of education and experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling three years.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bi-lingual Spanish and EnglishKnowledge
Knowledge of Concurrent Enrollment practices.
Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
