ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Assist in the development of annual logistics Schedules to ensure that all personnel are properly notified and proper paperwork is completed.

2.Register and maintain all records for OSPS.

3.Ensure that all forms, reports, evaluations, and other paperwork are properly completed, with all necessary information, in a timely manner as per the guidelines given by the Records Policies of OSPS.

4.Assist in instruction and training for logistical areas.

5.Create forms and documents as necessary to ensure efficiency in record keeping.

6.Directly supports the Executive Director and the Vice President of OSPS.

7.Properly handle all forms of customer service and communication.

8.Effectively communicate with the OSPS Team as directed by the Vice President and / or Executive Director of OSPS.

9.Thorough understanding of all electronic and software tools utilized by OSPS.



  1. Other functions and responsibilities as deemed necessary the Executive Director and/or Vice President of OSPS.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS

Education, Experience and Qualifications

  • Ability to work under considerable pressure and stress.

  • A clear and solid record of performance.

  • Have no convictions for felonies or crimes of moral turpitude.

  • Have no recent or prolonged use of Marijuana.

  • Have no possession of any illegal drugs such as cocaine, heroin, LSD, etc.

  • Be able to pass random drug testing to maintain employment.

  • Possess excellent written, verbal, organizational and problem solving skills.

  • Maintain a calm demeanor when dealing with the public.

  • Possess strong skills in the use of computers, software and logistical equipment.

  • Detail oriented and possess strong organizational and communications skills.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 0-3 years of experience required.

ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES ESSENTIAL TO THE FUNCTION OF THE JOB

Communication and Comprehension

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information.

  • Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.

  • Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of the Liberty University Department of Access Control.

  • Possess strong organizational skills.

  • Possess a propensity for discipline, proficiency, conduct, appearance and strict attention to detail.

Problem Solving

  • Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.

Physical and Sensory Abilities

  • Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work Environment

The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is primarily indoors in an office setting.

Driving Requirements

Use of the University's vehicle may be required in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver's license, an acceptable DMV record and liability insurance is required.
