Essential Functions:

Plant Support Functions: Daily entry of production and material usage information. Print drawings for production. Scan Quality Control reports and save onto server. Materials receiving to indicate product has been delivered and recorded in inventory. Matric data reporting. Labor hour reporting.

Payroll Processing: Oversee plant payroll which includes tracking daily labor, recording and monitoring attendance, verifying punches, data entry into Ultimate Software (Ulti Pro) and Kronos.

Human Resources Support: Conduct new-employee orientation, administer pre-employment tests and random testing, ensures all on-boarding documents are complete and uploaded to ServiceNow. Assist with writing job postings, thank you letters and scheduling interviews for the plant. Maintains applicant-tracking log. Creation and maintenance of personnel, applicant, benefit, I9, payroll and general office files. Process and complete all employee payroll/HR related paperwork and first point of contact to answer questions in regards to benefits and/or payroll issues.

Administrative Support: General office duties include administer daily mail process, answer and direct incoming calls on multi-line phone system, greet visitors and vendors, accurately file all paperwork, receive/send faxes, order office and safety supplies, set up and make travel arrangements if necessary.

Temporary Agencies: First point of contact for hourly non-exempt temporary employment agencies.

Attendance: Regular, timely attendance to meet company needs in an efficient and effective manner.

  • Other duties as assigned: Performs special projects or assignments as directed.

  • Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; Two-year degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • One plus year manufacturing, construction and production plant experience preferred.

  • One plus years HR/payroll administrative experience working in a fast pace environment.

  • Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy with strong data entry skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a variety of people and personalities.

  • Strong communication skills both orally and in writing with all levels of employees.

  • Payroll, HRIS and database experience required. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, internet and other applications. Able to learn or build upon existing knowledge of HRIS system (Ulti Pro and Kronos).

  • General knowledge of employee benefits, compliance, laws and regulations.

  • Ability to maintain personnel/payroll files and procedures according to laws and regulations.

  • Work as an effective and proactive team player, understands the importance of supporting the plant, production, HR/Payroll functions along with collaborating with employees and managers.

  • Able to apply effective time management and self-management skills. Able to be flexible and productive in an environment with regular interruptions.

  • Understand and maintain confidential nature of company and employee information.

  • Possess thorough, organized and detail-oriented approach to work. Possess effective problem solving skills.

  • Self-motivated, fast learner, shows initiative, willing to seek out department needs and meet them.

  • Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic and dedication.

  • Ability to apply effective time management and self-management skills. Ability to be flexible and productive in an environment with regular interruptions.

  • Must have a valid drivers' license and ability to travel 5 percent of the time.

Responsible for supervision of the operating team on his shift. Assumes the Chief Engineers responsibilities if the Chief Engineer is not on site. Job Responsibilities Management * Supervises and directs maintenance staff on his shift and monitors performance of their assigned responsibilities. Performs and/or directs the performance of all maintenance departmental service requests, insuring that work performed in these areas is accomplished efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption and inconvenience. It is also followed up with adequate clean up. Checks malfunctioning equipment and ascertains corrective action required to restore to satisfactory operating condition. Training * Provides training and supervision aimed at expanding the capabilities of the operations staff. Specific duties include, but not limited to: Demonstrating the proper use and care of tools and instruments, giving hands on instruction in basic maintenance, safety, and troubleshooting procedures, recommending relevant outside engineering courses for enrollment and instilling an overall level of professionalism in manner and appearance. x Less than 20% 20% - 40% 40% - 60% 60% or greater Safety * Supervises and implements the preventative maintenance program. Specific duties include and are not limited to: scheduling of preventative maintenance with a minimum disruption of building services, performing and/or delegating preventative maintenance tasks to the appropriately qualified maintenance staff member, orders parts and equipment required for repair, maintenance and installation of new equipment and facilities, and maintains inventory. * Complies with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintains a clean and safe workplace. * Insures the availability of an adequate operating inventory of tools and supplies. Specific duties include, but not limited to: Preparing and submitting purchase order requests, developing sources for stock materials and performing periodic checks for supplies. * Any and all other duties and tasks assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Education/training * Minimum of a high school diploma. Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration and HVAC. Years of relevant experience * 5+ years of experience in facility/plant engineering maintenance with at least 5 years in supervision. * Skills and knowledge * Experience as a journeyman level engineer with strong skills related to building automation systems, life safety systems and Microsoft Office applications. * Exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems engineering and operation.
