We are looking for a dynamic Administrative Assistant to join our dedicated team.

Wage: $17.20 (The rate of pay and pay scale provided for this position are based on title and geographical location). Full Range Scale $17.20-18.15 per hour

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

As an Administrative Assistant, you'll be the backbone of our Washington Supported Living program, providing essential office and administrative support.

"Supported living" means instruction, supports, and services provided by service providers to clients living in homes that are owned, rented, or leased by the client or their legal representative. This role falls into the category of client services which means instruction and support services that service providers are responsible to provide as identified in the client's individual support plan. Your work will directly impact the quality of life for our clients, helping them live independently in their own homes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational

  • Receive, sort, file and retrieves forms, correspondence and documents.
  • Verifies discrepancies and correct discrepancies.
  • Process documents; update and maintain files and records.
  • Process and distribute confidential documents.
  • Establish and maintain complex filing systems.
  • Monitor visitor access.
  • Maintain regular communication with supervisor.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, determining purpose, and forwarding to appropriate personnel or department.

Recordkeeping

  • File and archive financial documents according to SL Start financial management policy.

  • Act according to the guidelines of the company policies & procedures and the employee handbook. Maintain working knowledge of these documents by reviewing them at least once a year.
  • Stay calm in challenging situations, maintain positive attitude, and serve as a role model for individuals served and employees.

Growth & Development

  • Complete Basic Orientation and attend other in-service training as recommended.
  • Set and achieve performance and development goals.

Safety and Health

  • Maintains a safe working environment, follows safe work practices, and contributes to overall team safety by protecting clients from physical, verbal, or mental abuse; appropriately caring for and repairing all safety hazards; being familiar with emergency evacuation procedures and emergency first aid procedures

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED OR six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of financial record procedures.
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) and effective communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritizing abilities.
  • Professionalism and strong work ethic.
