Administrative Assistant Dept. Of Music And Social Sciences

Gardner-Webb University is seeking an Administrative Assistant to manage records, facilities, communications, and activities for the Departments of Music and Social Sciences in the College of Arts & Sciences.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Entering/maintaining records into Banner (e.g. semester schedules, advisor assignments)

• Place orders as needed (e.g. textbooks, desk copies, supplies)

• Report any maintenance that needs to be performed in building(s) and surrounding areas including maintaining office machinery.

• Communicating with campus stakeholders about department activities (e.g. students, faculty, administrators, candidates for hire/admissions to department programs, room reservations/meeting schedules.)

• Maintain records (e.g. final exams, grades, electronic files, spreadsheets, minutes, travel arrangements and reimbursements.)

• Provide support for department's office related projects/events (e.g. Admissions, socials, community outreach.)

• Supervise department student staff (e.g. graduate assistant, work study.)

• Manage communication and operations with adjuncts.

• Hold regularly scheduled office hours.

• Other duties as assigned.
