Office responsibilities include but not limited to: campus communication, work orders, meeting minutes, budget-related duties including reconciliation and purchasing, office supply and promotional orders and inventory, scheduling, maintaining department records, etc.
Train and supervise student workers; assist with biweekly payroll and time sheets for student workers.
Textbook ordering and adoption tracking.
Assist in planning, coordinating and participating in department events.
Reserve facilities and equipment, and order necessary supplies.
Maintain database and track requests from prospective students. Follow-up with email and other correspondence as necessary.
Maintain records of applications and scholarship and assist with application process.
Assist Data Analyst in gathering data for state and federal reports.
Maintain and review academic records such as mentor teacher surveys, faculty syllabi for department.
Assist with documentation and record-keeping for Family Science accreditation
Coordinate administration of Family Life Education (FLE) assessment exam for Family Science students and Area Concentration Achievement Test (ACAT) for Psychology students.
Track students for Child Advocacy Studies (CAST) Certificate Program.
Serve as department administrator for SONA, participant pool management system.
Create departmental forms for faculty, staff and student use.
Monitor and update department website.
Other reasonable duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Experience:
Requires more than one year of administrative experience in professional office environment; three years preferred
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, etc.
Ability to plan, develop and coordinate multiple projects
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to develop and maintain record-keeping systems and procedures
Interpersonal communication skills to interact with students, faculty, vendors, other University departments and the general public
Notary Public and/or willingness to become Notary preferred, but not required
Job Description Summary
This position is part-time (25 hours/week), benefits-eligible and provides administrative support for the Department of Psychology and Family Science department chair, faculty and staff as required for the operation of the department.
Hours of Availability
Hours may vary between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, but will not exceed 25 hours per week.
