Our Client: Our client is the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and they are seeking an Administrative Assistant for their Office of Investigations and Internal Affairs team.
This is a temporary position (W2 Only) in Tupper Lake, NY and is an excellent opportunity for the right individual. The contract is expected to last approximately 2 years with a pay rate of $19-20/hr. This is an in-office position, so you must be commutable to Tupper Lake.

In this role, you will be performing a range of clerical and administrative duties for the Office of Investigations and Internal Affairs including answering phones, scanning documents, emailing, ordering supplies, filing documents, and scheduling interviews and interrogations. You should have a solid understanding of all Microsoft Office applications and it would be helpful if you were familiar with IAMS, IRMA and VPCR databases. You will be highly organized, have great office support skills, and are adept at working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to change gears on the fly.
What to Expect as an Administrative Assistant: Answer and direct phones
Filing, copying, scanning Monitor and search IRMA several times per day, keeping a record of all cases assigned out
Send out notification emails to assigned regions
Once cases are assigned, set them up in IAMSDistribute assignments
Data collection, labelling, and scanning
Upload documents to IAMS, IRMA and VPCRComplete and track supply order requisitions Maintain inventory of supplies and quarterly office equipment
Set up interviews and interrogations, including reserving conference room as needed and coordinating with union reps and staff to meet investigator requests
Transcribe completed interviews and interrogations File case files
Help Assistant Chief, Leads, and Investigators with additional clerical duties Good ability to learn new databases and proprietary computer systems Datrose is an equal opportunity employer.
