Job summary

Description of Department:

The Financial Division main missions are:

  • setting up management reporting for Business lines and Support Functions
  • preparing accounting and regulatory financial statements
  • tax management and advisory services to operating units
  • ALM, forecasting and monitoring of prudential ratios (solvency and liquidity), management of accounting, regulatory and economic capital and liquidity needs
  • managing the short term liquidity of the Bank

Within the Financial Division, the Permanent Control unit handles the different control duties defined by HO Finance Permanent Control (see below).

Overview of Position:

Administrative assistant to the Financial Division (half time).

Assists the Local Permanent Controller for Finance and acts as a back-up to her (half time).

Primary Responsibilities:

As an administrative assistant to the Financial Division, handles administrative duties such as: expenses, travel booking, meeting scheduling and room booking, office supply management, printer supply, business cards, space planning, coordination of moves, desktop management, vacation calendars, orientation of new joiners, .

As a back-up of the Permanent control, assists her in the different duties described in the Directive 3.6.2.2 "Organization of permanent accounting and financial control". They are for instance: help the CFO with the supervision of controls regarding the preparation process of the financial information; collect evidences of the controls in place within Financial Division and/or put in place new ones if needed; proceed to 2nd level controls ("KRIs" Key Performance Indicators); prepare a Group accounting controls scoreboard as defined by Head-Office standards; ensure that Internal / External auditors & compliance points are being addressed. The Finance Permanent Controller is also in charge of: reporting in ICIS any incident that occurred in the Financial Division; reporting to RPC the quarterly operational losses related to Finance; preparing the quarterly accounting certificate signed off by the CFO and the head of Accounting, and sent to Head office; monitoring the Marly quarterly Head-office reporting with the concerned controllers
