About the Job
The Temporary Administrative Assistant for the College of Adult and Graduate Studies (CAGS) School of Behavioral and Sciences (BSS) is a part-time position (30 hours per week), reporting to the Dean of Behavioral and Social Sciences. The Administrative Assistant supports the Dean in undergraduate program assessment and management as well as the Master of Science in Criminal Justice (MSCRJ) program. The Administrative Assistant will coordinates tasks, activities, and communication within these programs and with various CAGS support staff and affiliate faculty.

We're looking for candidates who have:
Bachelors degree preferred.
Strong attention to detail within a system that focuses on big picture issues.
Ability to work with diverse team members, persons from other departments representing different perspectives, and a variety of student requests.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Web Advisor, Filebound, and Colleague, and the ability to learn how to use technological programs and databases quickly.
Commitment to work collaboratively from a team approach management style.
Key Job Duties
Contribute to CCU's mission: Christ-centered higher education transforming students to impact the world with grace and truth. In this role, the Administrative Assistant contributes to the mission by being a supporting member of a Christ-centered academic team that is committed to extending grace and truth to CCU Students.
Assist the Dean with the undergraduate and MSCRJ degree programs and course schedules, and with meeting the needs of faculty and students. When needed, the BSS Administrative Assistant may be called on to support the Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health program (MACMH).
Coordinate information for various committees and communicate activities and decisions with staff, affiliate faculty, and students.
Assist the Dean with hiring responsibilities, including the management of the Jobvite electronic systems for BSS, as well as assisting new hires through the onboarding process.
Assist the Dean with the management of the BSS budget, including monthly credit card reconciliation and reimbursement support for full time faculty, and with travel arrangements for BSS faculty and staff.
Assist the Dean with administrative tasks and with making changes to the catalog, program websites, and other division publications as appropriate.
Provide support in plagiarism case management created by undergraduate and MSCRJ students in the BSS programs.
Serve as the clerical support for the BSS division by maintaining and updating numerous databases and Excel spreadsheets.
Provide information to external parties when possible, and direct questions and concerns to appropriate members of the BSS team and/or other departments within the University.
Participate in BSS team meetings and other team events.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean.
While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to walk, stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, speak with clarity, and have appropriate vision and hearing capabilities. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
