We are currently seeking applications to fill the following job opening at Daramic where we develop and manufacture advanced lead-acid battery separators that are driving innovation in transportation and industrial applications with cars, trucks, forklifts, and golf carts as well as ESS.

Job Description:

  • Assist Purchasing Department with:

  • Release PO's to vendors via e-mail and confirm orders

  • Confirmation of all orders by tracking, follow up, and advising Sr. Buyer of all discrepancies for resolution

  • Utilize reports to track long lead-time orders, open purchase orders, and logistic opportunities

  • Develop and maintain relationship with vendor's customer service deparments

  • Monitors and responds appropriately to price changes and advise Sr. Buyer on all pricing impacts for negotiation opportunities

  • Routine processing of correspondence and data entry

  • Compile, verify, and prepare miscellaneous reports and vendor files

  • Assist Maintenance Department with:

  • Work order close out in mPulse system

  • Routine maintenance contractor work coordination

  • Large project planning assistance for Planning & Scheduling

  • Overtime and vacation management for Union employees

  • Sharepoint Administrator for Owensboro

  • Liaison between uniform company and union employees (schedules fittings and resolves issues with orders)

  • Maintain and manage plant-wide conference room calendars

  • Coordinate company events and luncheons

  • Maintain contact with Canteen on company needs for vending machines throughout plant and stocks front office break room

  • Routes incoming and outgoing mail

  • Responsible for daily UPS/FedEx shipments

  • Daily pick up from the Guard House and keep supplies stocked

Education

High School Diploma / Associates Degree preferred with a focus in Business

Professional experience: At least 2-5 years of administrative experience

Ability to self-manage, show initiative, and be proactive

Communication: Ability to provide information to management, supervisors, co- workers and subordinates by phone, email, or in person.

Languages: English

Know-how: Operation of Microsoft Windows; including

Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
