Administrative Assistant

Location: Boston, MA

Marcum LLP is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our growing and well-established national firm in our Boston office. This person will be responsible for providing full reception desk coverage along with administrative support to Assurance and Tax professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and greet clients and guests of the office

  • Sort and distribute mail

  • Prepare checks for deposit

  • Responsible for the use of courier services for delivery of client material, as needed

  • Assist professionals in the Boston office with their business and administrative needs as it relates to tax and assurance services.

  • Composes, proofreads, and reviews routine correspondence including tax returns, financial statements, engagement letters, IRS correspondence and other documents as requested. Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy.

  • Assembly of tax returns and financial statements for final delivery to client

  • Assist in process for year-end delivery of organizers and engagement letters to clients.

  • Will assist in replenishing and maintaining inventory of office stationery and general office supplies.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of administrative assistant experience in a professional services firm; experience supporting a CPA a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office package including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with GoFileRoom, Safesend and Prosystem Axcess a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Positive and professional attitude a must.

  • Desire and ability to work in a very fast-paced environment with ability to work extended hours as required.

  • High School Diploma required
