The Position

Administrative Assistants perform a broad variety of clerical, secretarial and administrative support duties in an assigned agency, program or other work unit within State government and the Nevada System of Higher Education.

The Nevada Highway Patrol is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant at Carson City Headquarters. The incumbent will provide coverage for NHP by answering phones, answering questions from the caller; fulfill requests sent in by other law enforcement agencies via facsimile; distribute incoming mail to include entering checks for HAZMAT and Amber Lights into the fiscal check log; fulfill requests from the public and ensure that records for the division are properly housed, released, and processed to meet regulation and statures of the NAC, NRS, DPS Directives, and Policy and Procedures set forth by the Division.
