Northrop Grumman Space Sector (NGSP) is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in an hourly Administrative Assistant 2 role in Azusa, CA. The selected individual will perform a variety of administrative activities in support of multiple software engineering program areas. Primary assignments include train and learn Peer Review Coordinator responsibilities, support all Peer Reviews, scheduling and coordinating meetings, coordinate visit requests and customer meetings; coordinate staff requests for infrastructure services (e.g. facilities, IT, EH&S), prepare and format customer briefings in PowerPoint, processing stationery requests; arranging travel; preparing expense reports; and provide documentation support. The selected candidate will support multiple program managers and will need to receive and organize information from multiple sources.

The selected candidate will:

  • Be proficient with PC computer application and all Microsoft applications especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Work effectively in a team environment as well as perform job duties with little supervision.

  • Have good interpersonal skills.

  • Interface with senior level staff and customers.

  • Maintain confidentiality.

Additional Tasks include:

  • Maintain accurate access lists for classified areas

  • Schedule interviews and coordinate calendars

  • Provide support to Process Control Boards, Corrective Action Boards and other meetings

  • Organize data and information into proper SharePoint folder locations and prepare materials for various reviews and meetings

  • Provide other support tasks as assigned or needed by the program

  • Provide additional clerical and administrative assistance as needed/ in addition to items specifically listed above.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED & 2 years of administrative assistant experience

  • Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Current & active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Product experience

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint

  • Proficient in SAP & CONCUR

The Manager will be responsible for supporting programs in the Military and Civil Space (M&CS) area across the Strategic Space Systems portfolio. Duties and responsibilities of the 'Manager, Program Control' position include, but are not limited to: * Manage a team of Program Cost Analysts and Program Financial Planning * Midyear and Year End performance write-ups and reviews of Program Cost Analysts * Effectively mentor and coach employees with varying levels of expertise and background.
